The Papillionaire

My new New Orleans bike.
The color of Gulf water.
A city bike.
The Papillionaire.

BRIGHTON BOUND

These happy faces.
On their way up to Brighton to snowboard and ski.

THE RABBIT VISITS

 The Easter Egg Hunt
Nana always gives directions before the hunt begins.
Madison is gazing out at those eggs.

After the hunt - The Rabbit joined us &
Madison made him feel welcome.
We seem to have missed photos of the hunt itself!

Aaron meets The Rabbit.

Penelope gets a hug.

Mason receives a Golden Egg...and a carrot.

Brent and Rabbit - Up High...
The Rabbit had two very fine admirers & a pretty cool cravat.
A hefty haul of eggs by everyone.
There's lovely Vivian.
Easter fell on General Conference weekend this year -
So, we had a very small hunt with
just these wonderful few.
Penelope, Aaron, The Rabbit, Madison, Mason
Brent in front.

I'm The Rabbit wrangler.
Good bye to The Rabbit until next year.

St. Joseph's Day Parade

The St. Joseph's Day Parade rolled on
Saturday, March 14 in the French Quarter.

Elodie Keene and I threw NCIS New Orleans beads from
the balcony in the French Quarter where we watched
the parade.  This was the best part of the whole day!
Elodie was visiting New Orleans to direct an
episode of NCIS New Orleans.

Joseph Zolfo, an executive producer on the show, was invited to be a parade marshall.
He invited us to watch from the balcony apartment.
Lots of Italian American floats and bands

Oak Alley Plantation...Redux.

Visiting and Revisiting Oak Alley Plantation.
Paul Farnsworth came for a visit and we took him
to Oak Alley Plantation.
I love these 300-year-old Virginia Live Oaks.
Strolling up the Oak Alley.

Alice and Isla came for Mardi Gras &
we visited the plantation again.

The dining room.

View down the alley from the 2nd floor.
Isla has her beads in true Mardi Gras fashion.

Our guide tells the story of the Roman family
who built the house.

The formal garden.
Where the kitchen once was.
The kitchen burned down long ago.

The master bedroom.

Guides dressed in period costume.

Guest bedroom, also used as the sick room
and the mourning room.

There are 28 Live Oak Trees.
Resurrection ferns grow on the limbs of the trees.

Recreated slave quarters and exhibit.
